For the third year in a row, I am raising money for the Louisville Regional Science & Engineering Fair (LRSEF) by running as far as I can! In 2014 I ran 40 Miles in 7 hours, running up and down the sidewalk from AP1 to AP6. Last year I ran the Derby Festival Marathon twice, once before the race (3:30am start!) and again during the actual race. This year, I’m upping the ante and will be attempting the Indiana Trail 100. Yes, 100 miles of running.
I am supporting this cause as the co-chair for the Asian Pacific American Forum (APAF, strategic partner of LRSEF), LRSEF Board member, education advocate, and trail runner. Every penny goes directly to the students and helps promote and develop STEM education through participation in the science fair.
It’s not just me out there. Our APAF team mentors hundreds of students all year long and works with local schools to help them grow and improve their science fairs. We also help execute the Louisville Regional Science & Engineering Fair. It’s year-round work to support our local community.
I humbly ask for your support by donating directly to LRSEF. Every dollar counts and donations can be made online through the LRSEF website. Please consider donating to this great organization that reaches so many students. 100% of your financial support goes directly to the students! You can bring me cash or checks directly but must file for your GE Match through the company website yourself.
Thanks for your consideration,
Mike Ekbundit
