Meredith Lundy, an 8th grade student at St. Francis of Assisi School, was awarded the Lemelson Early Inventor Prize at the 2023 fair. The prize includes $100 and was created to reward young inventors whose projects exemplify the ideals of inventive thinking by identifying challenges in their communities and creating solutions that will improve lives.

Meredith and her project, Reducing Conductor Gallop with 3D Printed Coverings, were recently featured in a story on societyforscience.org highlighting her work to build cable covers that avoid power outages during inclement weather. Congratulations, Meredith!
