On Friday, November 8 delicious smells and rhythmic sounds were coming from the Monogram Hall at GE Appliances. Over 250 employees and their guests were treated to a wonderful festive of lights and a delightful meal prepared by volunteer hands. Displays of golden flowers, musical instruments, precious artifacts lined the lobby, and the photo booth with costumes was popular, too.

This celebration of Diwali is a fundraiser hosted annually by the Asia Impact affinity group and benefitting LRSEF 2025. All proceeds from the banquet are split between LRSEF and the duPont Manual Science and Engineering Fair. This event also funds a Clear Thinker award of $100 each for a LRSEF middle school and high school project.

LRSEF thanks all the volunteers but especially our Asia Impact Board members Vanita Mani, Kumar Chellappan, Ravi Jayaram and Carmen Estopare, as well as former Asia Impact/LRSEF Board members, GE leaders and employees. Attending the event for LRSEF were the 2024/25 President Carson Garrett, Treasurer Theresa Mattei and board member and judge Corinne Greenberg.
