LRSEF is again offering Fair Teacher Grants (FTG) to students and schools in need.
Selected schools will be awarded equipment and supplies totalling up to $300. Schools that serve Under-Represented Minority (URM) and Lower Income (LI) students are encouraged to apply.
There will be up to two rounds of applications. The first round will start from October 13 to November 13, 2026. The LRSEF Educational Outreach Committee will then rank and award grants based on their strength of application and student diversity. If money remains, we will open a second round of applications.
Want to apply? Make a copy of the linked Google Doc, complete the application, and email it to michael.moreland@jefferson.kyschools.us by November 13, 2026.
Eligibility: All schools within the 59-county region serving middle school or high school students are eligible for LRSEF Teacher Grant (the Grant). Teachers can purchase items from the pre-selected section or they may purchase items that they would prefer instead. The equipment purchased from the Grant must be used for student research with the goal of having your students present at LRSEF. Grant funds can also be used for transportation reimbursement or to cover registration fees for LRSEF on Saturday March 6, 2027 at UofL.
The maximum amount of the Fair Teacher Grant will be $300.
Directions: Make a copy of this form and complete all portions of it digitally or by hand. When completed, print it or scan it as a PDF and send it to Mike Moreland: michael.moreland@jefferson.kyschools.us
