For 2021, students may nominate your project for up to 3 awards by completing the Special Awards Milestone in the student registration before the February 17 deadline. If students are eligible for the AMAZON award, they should indicate this in the Special Awards Milestone.

American Psychological Association – Outstanding research in psychological science |
ASM Materials Education Foundation – Materials related projects |
Association for Women Geoscientists – Nominees must be females with projects showing innovativeness and scientific excellence in geosciences |
Mu Alpha Theta: The Honorary Mathematics Society – High School projects in mathematics demonstrating challenging, original, thorough and creative investigation of a problem |
NASA Earth Systems Science Award – Project that best demonstrates insight into Earth’s interconnected systems |
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Assoc (NOAA) – Project emphasizes climate, weather, ocean and coastal sciences |
Office of Naval Research – Nominees must be individuals only. No team projects. |
Ricoh USA Inc – Projects with technical innovations, potential for increasing ability to grow environmentally friendly and socially responsible businesses, conserve resources |
Society for In Vitro Biology – Nominees must be in 11th grade and have project about plant or animal in vitro biology or tissue culture |
Stockholm Junior Water Prize – Nominees must be a US student in grades 9-12 with water-related science topic |
US Air Force – Middle or High school project |
US Metric Association – Project work must measure consistently and correctly in SI metric. Those using a variety of metric units for different kinds of measures are best. |
Yale Science & Engineering Association – Nominees must be in 11th grade with projects in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Chemistry category |
US Agency for International Development (USAID) – Project relevant to international development. May include food security, human rights, economic growth and trade, education, environment, gender equality, water and sanitation |
Bluegrass Section, Institute of Food Technologists – Project related to food |
BC Plumbing Company – Creative projects about conservation and water science |
Churchill Downs Engineering Award – Projects related to the equine industry |
Gibson Family Award – Student showing a passion for sustainability and desire to make the world a more just and equitable. Projects that solve a global issue such as access to nutritious food, clean water and education. |
GE APAF Clear Thinker Award – Projects showing clear understanding of the problem with conclusions drawn from competent research and observations. Preferred Categories: Engineering, Computer Science, Physics and Chemistry |
Hexion Inc – Community Impact award – Awarded for evidence of community impact in any category |
